- Royal Bank of Scotland is to close its banking operations in India.It has already sold its Credit card business and Mortgage portfolio to Ratnakar Bank.
- PM Modi will inaugurate 3 day long 3rd Asian Ministerial conference on Tiger conservation in New Delhi.
- Exuberant support for Data Services has launched its second data center in Mahape,Navi Mumbai.
- Domestic handset makers Micromax will integrate wallet services to its smartphones.This service is powered by Visa and TranServ.
- PSU BSNL is testing wi-fi technologies which will connect 1 lakh panchayat in year with high speed internet.
- India has offered to invest upto 20 billion dollars in Iran.This investment is announced by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan(Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister) during his two day visit to Iran.
- Uttar Pradesh government has announced to grow Five crore trees at 6500 different locations in july month under the Green UP Clean UP.
- Investigative Journalist Khadija Ismayilova (Azerbaijan) has been chosen to receive the 2016 UNESCO /Guillermo Cano world press freedom prize.Ms Ismayilova, a freelance journalist and contributor to the Azerbaijani service of Radio Free Europe, was detained in December 2014.
- Former Chief Election Commissioner BB Tandon has been chosen as the head of the three member committee to moniter government Advertisement.
