  1. Government of India has released Indian Intellectual property Panorama to increase the awareness and Senstivity towards IP in the SME sector ,researches etc.The IP panorama is a single window interface for information on IP and guidance on leveraging it for competetive advantages.
  2. The Union Government has imposed a safe guard duty on import of some steel items till march ,2018.Safeguard duty is a tarrif barrier imposed by government on the commodities to ensure that imports in excessive quantity do not harm the domestic industry.
  3. Total Indirect tax collection has surpassed the revised estimate target of 7.04 lakh crore for 2015-16 according to CBEC chairman Najib Shah.Target on each of the indirect tax levies has been achieved.
  4. PM Modi has announced to set up 24*7 call center for Indian workers engaged in other countries.The workers will able to use ‘Madad Portal’,The new Grievances Management System.
  5. DCB bank has started Adhar Based ATM usage.This ATMs will use Biometric details instead of PIN.At the time of confirming the details it requires Biometric details rather than the PIN.
  6. Reliance Industries has entered into e-commerce fashion retail through a platform called AJIO.The new venture will focus on designer wear and high fashion global brands.
  7. The center Government expects to achieve its ambitious target of 100 GW of solar capacity generation by 2017.According to Power Minister Piyush Goyal it is expected to achieve 175 GW power from Renewable energy by 2022.
  8. HCL Technologies Ltd will buy all the Business of Mumbai based Software firm Geometric Ltd.The Deal will be valued around 200 Million Dollars.
  9. UNIDO has placed India 6th among the world’s top 10 largest manufacturing countries.
  10. SBI has launched ‘State Bank of India No Queue ‘ Mobile App.This app will help to save the valuable time of the customers for availing bank services.It is a virtual Queuing application for customers to book an instant queue ticket for selected services.Customers can view details of expected waiting time.Once the customers reaches the branch ,he has to activate his Q-tickets and he will be serviced immediately.
  11. Vietnam’s Police Chief ,Tran Dai Quang has been sworn in as country’s president.
