Selection Procedure: This is the first time when there will be two exams for the SBI PO post.Both of these will be discussed in details:

The Preliminary Examination will be only for the qualification as marks obtained by a candidate will not be added into the graded score.It will be very difficult this time to get into SBI as only around 40000 students will be selected for the Mains Exam.

Mains Exam:

The mains exam will be expected to be tougher than than the previous SBI exams.They does not change the format for the mains exam as it will be same as the previous year SBI PO exams but this year,one has to type his descriptive paper in place of writing it on the sheets.So we suggest every aspirant to practice one essay or letter on computer as it will help them Type descriptive paper easily.The Descriptive paper will be administered.

The Next Hurdle in this Exam will be GD+ Interview which will carry 50 marks in total.The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II(Mains) and Phase-III(Interview+GD) separately. Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Discussion &Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.
