Hello Readers, In this Post we will Discuss about all the Key Facts about the Rail Budget 2015.Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu Today presented the Railway Budget.Multiple initiatives such as better ticketing facilities,Upgraded Stations,Free wifi and Cleaner trains.These are the Key points of the Railway Budget 2015:

1.There is no increase in the passenger rail fares.This is most expected thing from this rail budget.Rs. 8.5 lakh Crore will be invested in railway in next 5 years.

2.The key themes of the rail budget are Swachh Bharat Mission ,Make in  India and digital India which were started by Prime Minsiter Narender Modi.

3.The Railway tickets now can be booked 120 days advanced

4.Operation 5 Minutes will be implemented which will ensure that the unreserved tickets should be provided to the passenger who is travelling unreserved.Provisions such as modified ‘Hot Buttons’,Coin vending machines,single destination teller machine will drastically reduce the transaction time.

5.For Differently-abled people,Concessional e-tickets will be provided after a single registeration.

6.There is a proposal of developing a multi-lingual e-ticketing portal so that it becomes convenient for the people who cannot use english language based portal.

7.An all India Hotline Number ,138, will become functional to listen to all the railway related complaints.

8.Mobile charging facility will be provided in general class coaches ,Number of charging facilities in sleeper class will be increased.

9.Wifi at all A1 and A category stations is being  provided which further will be taken to  B category stations.

10.Speed on 9 railway corridors will go up to 200 Km/hr .

11.Surveillance cameras in major compartments and ladies compartments without compromising on privacy.

12.Bio Toilets and airplane-type vaccum toilets in rails.

13.Satellite Railway terminal in the major cities will be established.

14.Centrally Managed Railway display Systems will be Installed in more than 2000 cities of the country.

15.917 Road under bridges , over bridges to be made will 3483 railway crossings.The cot of building these bridges will be Rs.6581 Crores.

16.4 Railway research centers will be opened in four universities.
