  7. Senior IAS officer of Kerala cadre A Ajith Kumar has been appointed as the chairman of Rubber Board, Kottayam, Kerala.
  8. The five-time Bafta-winning actress andcomedian Victoria Wood (62-years) has died at her London home after a short illness with cancer.
  9. Scientists from Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) have indigenously developed world’s lightest synthetic material called ‘silica aerogel’ or ‘blue air’.
  10. The Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) has decided to waive off the financial penalty of 41.97 million dollars that was imposed on the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) for pulling out midway during their 2014 series against India.
