  2. India has successfully tested the long range submarine launched ballistic missile K-4.The Nuclear capable Missile can strike targets upto 3,500 Km away.This missile is part of the k family missiles named after former president and scientist APJ abdul kalam.
  3. The constitutional council of Nepal has selected Justice Sushila Karki as the first Female Chief Justice of Nepal.She will be 26th Chief Justice of Nepal.
  4. The National Payment of India has launched “Unified payments interface (UPI) to revolutionize mobile payment system in the country.
  5. The Maharashtra Government has Unanimously passed the Maharashtra prohibition of People from Social Boycott Bill 2016 to end menace social boycott practiced by extra-judicial institutions like caste and community panchayats.
  6. Indigenously developed surface-to-air supersonic Akash missile System was successfully test fired from complex-3 of the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipuri in Odisha.
  7. According to the reports of World Bank,India remains the world largest remittance recipient in 2015.Total remittance is of 69 Billion US dollars.
  8. The Government has dissolved the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts(IGNCA) Board.Mahesh Sharma has dissolved the Board and appointed a 20 Member team.
  9. The Union government has given its approval for India to adopt the statute of the South Asia Wildlife Enforcement Network (SAWEN).It will help in checking cross border wildlife crimes.
  10. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Maritime India Summit 2016 at Goregaon,Mumbai.Summit main aims at exploring the new opportunities by attracting global investors from the maritime sector.
  11. National Small Saving funds (NSSF) has loan rate to the center & states has been lowered to 8.8% from 9.5.
