  3. Tata Consultancy Services has been named as a top employer in the US for a second consecutive year.
  4. Finance Ministry and International Monetary Fund are organizing a 3 day conference in New Delhi. Theme of the conference is ‘Advancing Asia:Investing for the Future’.
  5. The Govt has decided to relax the norms for startup Micro small and Medium Enterprises(MSME).
  6. India will Supply Eighteen Meter Gauge 1350 Horse power Diesel Electric locomotives Myanmar. It will help Myanmar to meet increasing demand of Freight traffic and passengers .
  7. Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has launched “Clean My Coach” services in the railway.The Service will allow passenger to make a request for a dirty coach to be swept and cleaned by sending a message on 58888.This Initiative is under ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’.
  8. The Aadhar Scheme has collected Biometric data of 99 Crore indians so far.
  9. The Union Government gave green signal to the amendment in Sikh Gurudwaras act 1925.

A 250 Km long March has been started on 10th march to protest against plans to build a Power Station(Rampal Power Station) near Sundarbans.This Power Station will harm the ecological Balance of Sundarbans which is world’s largest Mangrove Forest.This Power Station is the Joint Venture of India and Bangladesh.
  11. Prime Minister Narendar Modi has laid Foundation of the Newly Constructed Digha-Sonpur Road cum Railway bridge and Inaugurate a railway bridge in Munger.
  12. CRISIL ,A domestic Rating Agency estimated that India will grow at the rate of 7.9% 2016-2017.
  13. Haryana has become the 8th state to join the UDAY scheme.

The Defence Ministry has approved a Rs 13,000 crore weapons and sensors package for the seven new stealth frigates being constructed by defence shipyards for the Navy as well as accorded the initial approval for the Rs 7,200 crore project to indigenously manufacture 244 air defence guns for the IAF.
