  1. 12th April is being observed as the International Day of Human Space Flight to commemorate the date of the first human space flight in the history of mankind
  2. India and Maldives has signed 6 agreements during the visit of Maldives President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.These six Agreements includes :Double Taxation,Conservation and Restoration of Mosques,Tourism,Action plan for Defence cooperation.
  3. Indian Government has awarded IIT Kharagpur for being the top Academic Institute for Patents in 2016.
  4. International Finance Corporation(IFC) has planned to invest $38 million dollars in House finance companies. IFC is a World Bank’s Investment Arm.
  5. Soni Chaurasiya(Kathak Dancer) of Varanasi has set the world record by dancing for 124 hours.
  6. Airtel M Commerce Services along with Kotak Mahindra Bank has been granted Payment Bank license from RBI.
  7. India will going to attend Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) meeting in Paris.This meeting is to firm up cooperation between countries in the wake of the “Panama Paper” Leak.
  8. Jalandhar Based Capital Local Area Bank (CLAB) has become the first Small bank in India to Start its operations on 13th April,2016.
  9. IBM has partnered with Reliance communications to provide cloud services to customers.
  10. Former Indian Army Chief General (retd) JJ Singh was conferred with the prestigious Officer of the Legion of Honour, the highest French civilian distinction.
  11. Union Government has appointed senior IPS officer Ms. Meeran C. Borwankar as the Director General (DG) in the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D).
  12. Haryana Government has decided to rename Gurgaon as Gurugram. State government also has renamed Mewat as Nuh. In this regard, Chief Minister Manohar Lal has approved the proposal to change the names of Gurgaon and Mewat.
